In textile Industry, colour matching laboratory consists of colour matching computer integrated with automatic dosing of dye solution and dye machines controlled by the microprocessors. The program gives stress on "Right First Time Matching".

Two constant Kubelka - Munk theory is used for prediction of formulation and correction for paints, plastics Inks and packaging application. Match predictions are based on complete opacity for given contrast ratio at desired thickness. Optimum pigment load calculations are performed for paint and plastic formulation. Both theory and practical aspects are covered in the program.

Point of Sale systems are becoming very popular in Paint Industry and Paint is formulated using computer-controlled dispensers at Dealers shop. Various aspects of this technology are covered in this course.

Faculty:

Dr. N. S. Gangakhedkar, Ph.D. in Physics and pioneer Researcher in Computer Color Matching is the trainer. He is having 25 years of experience and installed over 300 Color systems and trained 1500 Colourists / Chemists. He is the author of two books on Computer Color Matching and presented number of papers in National and International Conferences.

We conduct In - House Colour Technology Courses and Seminars at the Factory for Laboratory Technicians, Colourist, Formulators, Chemists, Dyeing Masters, and Production Supervisors. In - house training program are effective as more number of persons can be trained with specific area of application.
